Vice presidential candidate of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP,  Ifeanyi Okowa has slammed the ruling party, saying APC is not smart, not ready, and in confusion.

Newsonline reports that the vice-presidential candidate of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Ifeanyi Okowa, smartly avoided mentioning Peter Obi in addressing the issue of placeholder vice-presidential candidates by the Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar.

Ifeanyi Okowa, the incumbent governor of Delta state while answering questions on the readiness of Peter Obi, Labour Party, presidential candidate, and Ahmed Bola Tinubu, All Progressive Congress, APC, as it concerns submitting names of running mates for the 2023 general election, avoided mentioning Peter Obi and the Labour Party.

Okowa said the submission of a placeholder vice presidential candidate shows that the ruling All Progressive Congress is confused not smart and not ready for the 2023 general election.

Okowa who carefully avoided mentioning Peter Obi and Labour party, in the interview on Channels Television, said the term placeholder vice-presidential sounds strange to him.

He said the confusion is responsible for the ruling party finding it difficult to find a vice-presidential candidate.

Governor Okowa said; “You can find that the APC is finding it difficult to get who would be their vice presidential candidate, we are hearing something we have not heard before, somebody on placement to be replaced.

“They are actually not smart, that makes us believe they are not even ready for the election, there seems to be a lot of confusion in the APC, unlike us, right from day one, we‘ve made our decision and I believe we‘re on the right path.”
