Northern Elders Convener, Dr. Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, has described Peter Obi presidential candidacy as a revolution in the 2023 general election.

Newsonline reports that Hakeem Baba-Ahmed stated this after the visit of the former governor of Anambra State, who is the presidential flagbearer of the Labour Party.

The Northern Elders Convener Ahmed who described the visit as ‘spending valuable time’, said he wish citizens would see the Labour Party candidate, Peter Obi very close,  and his plans for the country’s problems.

Ahmed however, said Peter Obi is worth more than an ethnic politician who is coming to the presidency for an ethnic game.

Ahmed advised promoters of Peter Obi to tone down his ethnicity in their campaign for his presidency.

Hakeem Baba-Ahmed said, “I spent valuable time with Mr. Peter Obi this morning. I wish those who see him as an ethnic candidate can get to know him better.

“I also wish those who try to sell him will tone down his ethnic identity. I hope the nation will see the candidates up close, we could see a revolution.”

Newsonline reports had reported that Peter Obi is been seen as a revolution by supporters who are mostly youths across the six geo-political zones of the country.

Results of polls across all social media platforms always tilt to Peter Obi, against other major contenders, Atiku Abubakar, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and Bola Ahmed Tinubu, All Progressive Congress, APC.
