PDP Crisis: Wike, 3 Governors Leave For Spain, More Revelations On Ayu

The Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has left the country for Madrid in Spain as PDP crisis deepens amid accusations and counter-accusations between him and Ayu.

Newsonline reports that Governor Wike left the country along with Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State, and Samuel Ortom of Benue State.

The Rivers State governor with his camp members left the country for Madrid on Friday night after the media chat where he alleged that the national chairman, Iyorchia Ayu collected a bribe of One billion naira from a presidential candidate and Hundred million naira from a governor.

Also, while speaking on Friday in Portharcourt, Wike said he and his camp will not back down from their call for the resignation of Ayu.

“We are not going to back down. Some of them are hypocrites that want to eat the crumbs from the master’s table. There is no single law in the PDP that allows these two positions to come from the same zone.

“Live and let me live. Take and let me take. If the President comes from the North, let the National Chairman come from the South. What is wrong with that?” Wike said.

He further accused the presidential candidate of the PDP, Atiku Abubakar, of failing to implement the agreement.

Wike further added, “He (Atiku) met me one-on-one but has he implemented the agreement? If I leave the PDP today, the party cannot win Rivers State.”
