PDP Crisis: Ayu’s Children Will Deny Him After My Release- Wike

The Rivers state governor said he stood by his decision that the national chairman of the party and the presidential candidate cannot come from the same North.

The Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, has said if not for the love he has for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), he would release what would make the children of the national chairman, Ayu Iyorchia of the party to deny him.

 

Newsonline reports that Wike alleged that Ayu collected One billion naira from a presidential candidate and Hundred million naira from a governor before the primary election of the party in May 28 and May 29.

 

Governor Wike who stated this on Friday, during a media chat in Portharcourt added that if pushed to the wall further by the presidential candidate of the PDP, Atiku Abubakar and Ayu he would make open more corrupt practices of the national chairman.

Wike said, “I don’t just come out and speak, let Ayu come out and say he did not collect N1billion. Let me tell you Ayu collected N100 million from a governor.

 

“If not for the love of this party, if we release what we have, Ayu’s children will go to him and deny him.”

 

The Rivers state governor said he stood by his decision that the national chairman of the party and the presidential candidate cannot come from the same North.

 

He stated that ” agreement is agreement” and he is not going to accept the appeal that he should allow election to finish before his decision for the resignation of the national chairman takes place.
