PDP Crisis: APC In Talks With Wike- Party Chieftain

All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Farouk Aliyu, has revealed that the ruling party is in talks with the governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike as the PDP crisis continues in the main opposition.

Newsonline reports that the APC wants the Rivers State governor to work for their presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu.

Wike and the national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Ayu Iyorchia and the presidential candidate of the party, Atiku Abubakar have been at dagger-drawn length, since the end of the party’s presidential primary election on May 28 and 29, 2022.

Farouk said this while he spoke on Channels Television’s politics programme on Tuesday night.

Farouk Aliyu said: “We are talking to Wike. We are talking to so many of them. Of course, it is politics. So, we are not enemies of Wike, and he is a very important person in this country – a governor for that matter – and you cannot ignore Rivers State.

“So, if Wike decides to come to us, we would gladly welcome him, and I can confirm to you that we are talking to him.”
