Patience Jonathan Speaks On Call For Husband’s 2027 Presidential Election

Patience Jonathan has spoken on the call for husband’s 2027 presidential election.

 

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that Former First Lady Dame Patience Jonathan has revealed that her husband, ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, will not be contesting in the 2027 presidential election.

 

There have been calls from certain political circles encouraging him to return to the race, but Patience Jonathan clarified that the former president has no intention of seeking any further political office.

During a gathering with the Greater Igbo Forum in Abuja, she said that her husband had already served in key political roles, including the highest office in the nation, and is now focused on supporting efforts to improve the country.

 

Additionally, she encouraged the Igbo community to foster unity and set aside political differences, advocating for collective development and love for the nation.

 

According to her, “My husband has reached the pinnacle of political office. What is he looking for again? We are not going in again.”

 

“We should love this country more than ourselves. Because if you don’t love this country, what is the future of our children?

 

“Let us manage one another. Let us love ourselves. Let us be united and be our brother’s keepers.”
