As the Osun election draws near, popular hip hop singer, David Adeleke, Davido, has cried out that the opposition party, All Progressive Congress, APC, is monitoring his movements.
Newsonline reports that Davido stated that his tour calendar is also being monitored by the opposition APC.
Davido’s uncle Senator Ademola Adeleke is one of the major contenders for the Osun gubernatorial election slated to hold in less than three weeks, July 16.
Senator Adeleke is the flag bearer of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Davido, Senator Adeleke’s nephew is the most popular artist in the country and one of the most popular in Africa.
With over 10 million followers, the leader of 30 billion gangs has enough influence on the youths who are the major voting population in the Osun election.
The massive followers of Davido and his generosity which has captured his followers are the fears of the ruling APC in Osun state.
Davido stated that even though the ruling APC and Osun state government are monitoring his movement and tour calendar to know when he will arrive in the country for his uncle’s campaign, he will arrive unannounced to ensure his uncle becomes victorious come July 16.
On his Twitter handle, using popular pidgin English, David Adeleke, Davido, said, ” Dem dey monitor my movements dem dey check my tour calendar to see wen I go enter Osun dem write MUMU fir my head ?? !! No worry Osun I DEY COME !! I no dey put date !! Dem go just see me like whinch #IMOLE !!! OSUN IS READY FOR ADELEKE !!!! WE GO BRING JOY!!!!!”
In its English translation, Davido said, ” They are monitoring my movements, they are checking my tour calendar to see when I will enter Osun. Don’t worry Osun, I am coming. I will not put the date. they will just see me as witch. Osun is ready for Adeleke. We will bring joy.”
