On Wednesday, the national president of the group, Isah Aliyu made the announcement adding that the move was necessary due to the rising insecurity in the South-East.
Aliyu explained that the association made the decision due to a recent hijack of trucks loaded with onions belonging to two of their members by armed men suspected to be members of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
