1. The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) yesterday, approved 140 and above as the national minimum cut-off mark for admission into public universities in 2022. The board approved 100 for Colleges of Education, 120 for Polytechnics and 140 for Universities.

7. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) will on Friday, arraign a former Accountant General of the Federation, Ahmed Idris, before Justice A.O. Adeyemi Ajayi of the Federal Capital Territory High Court, Abuja, over N109 billion fraud.
8. 15-year-old teenager, who was allegedly abducted, drugged and raped by four men in the Igando area of Lagos State, has been found. She was found five days after she went missing and a search party was raised by her family.
9. The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested a 23-year-old prison escapee, Abubakar Mohammed, while relocating to his native home in the Bama Local Government Area of Borno State. The State Commissioner of Police, Sikiru Akande said Mohammed, who was among inmates who escaped from the Kuje Custodial Centre, was arrested along the boundary between Adamawa and Borno States.
10. The federal government has projected to spend N6.72 trillion on subsidy for Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) otherwise called petrol for the 2023 fiscal year. The projected expenditure is N2.53trn higher than the current petrol subsidy figure, expected to roll till May next year.
