Nigeria Police Force Sacks 19 Officers, Demote Others Over Murder, Extortion (FULL LIST)

The dismissed officers are to face prosecution in court.

Nigeria Police Force has sacked at least 19 officers and demoted others over murder and extortion.

 

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that the Nigeria Police Force has dismissed 19 officers for serious offences, including murder and extortion.

 

The disciplinary action, announced through a wireless message on January 23, 2025, also led to the demotion of 24 officers.

 

The dismissed officers are to face prosecution in court.

A Deputy Commissioner of Police, Coker Olaleka James, was cleared of all allegations following an investigation and has been exonerated.
