1. Edo State Government has disbanded the media crew attached to the Office of the Deputy Governor, Philip Shaibu. In a statement on Monday by the State’s Commissioner for Communication and Orientation, Chris Nehikhare, the government directed the Deputy Governor to henceforth request the Ministry of Communication and Orientation for media coverage of activities of his office.
2. A 39-year-old female tenant, OpeOluwa Agoro, allegedly bit off the right ear of her neighbour, Oloruntofunmi Folorunso, on Oremeta Street in the Igode area of the Ogun State on Sunday during an argument on electricity bill. It was gathered that the electricity distribution company servicing the area disconnected the house where both tenants live over a pending issue.
3. The Federal Government, on Monday, said all the frontline states on the path of River Benue may experience flooding within the next seven days as a result of the opening of Lagdo Dam in Cameroon.
