Nigeria @62: Keyamo, Reno React To Peter Obi Supporters Rally Across Nigeria

Obi will do better than expected in the city centres of the SW (places like Ibadan, Akure, etc). The only reason Tinubu will carry the SW is because of the rural areas.

The Spokesman for the All Progressives Congress (APC) Campaign Council, Festus Keyamo and a former aide to ex-president Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri have reacted to Peter Obi supporters’ rally across Nigeria which took over what was supposed to be the independence day celebration of Nigeria @62.

Newsonline had reported that the supporters of the Labour Party presidential candidate held rallies from Lagos to Kaduna, from Uyo, Akwa-Ibom to Gombe, from Bauchi to Edo in support of Peter Obi.

Reacting to the rallies held nationwide for the former governor of Anambra State, Keyamo said when the APC kicks off their campaign for their presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, other supporters.

Keyamo in mockery said, “The aerial shots are the best. Now, look at this: at best the ‘crowd’ here is not more than a thousand people which is approximately just two polling units.”

He added, ‘It is not the same ease with which you start and manoeuver a 50-ton trailer that you use to start and manoeuver a 4-cylinder engine car. But when both machines jam on the highway, you will know which is which! When our campaigns rev up, we shall separate the boys from the men!”

Reno who is a strong supporter of the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar said though Peter Obi may win the metropolitan areas of South West region, Tinubu will win the local areas which according to him will be in favour of the APC candidate.

He said, “Obi will do better than expected in the city centres of the SW (places like Ibadan, Akure, etc). The only reason Tinubu will carry the SW is because of the rural areas. Obi is not doing much to capture the votes of people who do not speak either English or Igbo.”

He argued further, “Without Obi in the race, Bola Tinubu would have had absolutely no chance. Peter Obi is not the Southeast’s chance. He is Tinubu’s chance! He has helped Tinubu level the real race, which is between him and Atiku. For Tinubu, Obi is the best early Christmas gift ever!

“Obi can’t win in 2023. He knows it. I know it. And you about to insult me knows it. The main beneficiary of his campaign is not even the SE. Toe to toe, Tinubu would be eviscerated by Atiku. But with Obi in the race, more of PDP’s votes will go to Obi than APC’s!”
