NBS names three states with highest IGR in 2022 (FULL LIST)

NBS has named three states with the highest IGR in 2022.

 

Newsonline Nigeria reports that the National Bureau of Statistics has announced Lagos, Rivers, and the Federal Capital Territory as the most viable states with the highest Internally Generated Revenue in 2022.

 

This Nigeria news platform understands that on Monday, NBS disclosed this in its Internally Generated Revenue State Level report.

According to the report, Lagos (N651 billion), Rivers (N172 billion), and FCT (N124 billion) generated the highest IGR in the period under review.

Meanwhile, the lowest three performing states in 2022 were Kebbi, Taraba and Yobe, with N9,146 billion, N10,238 billion and N10,456 billion, respectively.

 

A total of N1.93 trillion IGR was generated by the 36 states and the FCT from the revenue in the sub-category PAYE, Direct Assessment, Road Taxes, Stamp duties, Capital gain tax, Withholding taxes, other taxes and Local Government Areas revenue
