News Online reports that Yoruba nation agitator Sunday Adeyemo also known as Sunday Igboho Thursday appeared at the Cour De’appal De Cotonou, Benin Republic, for immigration-related offenses.

This online news platform had earlier reported that Sunday Igboho was arrested in Cotonou, Benin Republic.
Igboho alongside his wife, Mrs Ropo Adeyemo, was arrested at the Cotonou Cadjehoun Airport on Monday night while attempting to flee to Germany.
Igboho was arrested by the security forces in Benin Republic about three weeks after the Department of State Services declared him wanted for allegedly stockpiling arms, an allegation he has since denied.

A court hearing scheduled for Wednesday had failed to hold.

There is tension in the environment of Court D’Apeal of Cotonou as an extradition case involving Yoruba activist, Sunday Igboho is been heard.
Some of the supporters of the Yoruba Nation agitator that spoke with Punch noted that the environment is tensed.
It was disclosed that many of the supporters, who did not know when the Yoruba rights activist arrived in court, trooped into the courtroom to see him.

A source has however told SaharaReporters that the activist is not for extradition to Nigeria.
1:00 pm: Sunday Igboho on Thursday afternoon arrived the court ahead of his arraignment by the authorities.
A source said, “Igboho may be arraigned for passport-related offences in the Benin Republic tomorrow. His Nigerian lawyers are here already. Yoruba leaders in the Benin Republic have been supportive as well.”
