LeBron James set to miss opening games of new NBA season

Los Angeles Lakers star ruled out with minor injury, eyes early-season return to action

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James has been diagnosed with sciatica and will miss the beginning of the new NBA season.

The 39-year-old, who is set to begin his 23rd season in the league, has reportedly been ruled out for “at least three to four weeks” due to the condition, according to NBA insider Shams Charania.

Reports indicate that the sciatica affects the right side of LeBron’s body, marking yet another setback for the 40-year-old in recent months.

Last season, the Lakers star suffered a medial collateral ligament sprain in his left knee, which sidelined him during the playoffs.

He also dealt with nerve irritation in his glute, forcing him to miss the start of training camp earlier this year.
