This post will guide you on the process of registering for the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board JAMB 2022 registration for the forthcoming Unified Tertiary and Matriculation Examination (UTME).

 

JAMB Registration 2022 Date

 

The examination board has announced that the JAMB Registration 2022 for UTME will begin on February 19th, 2022, as against the initial date of 12th February, 2022, due to the delay caused by server downtime.

 

NIN Requirement for JAMB UTME Registration 2022

 

Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that the National Identification Number (NIN) will be made compulsory for 2022 JAMB registration. Recall that NIN was first introduced in the JAMB 2020 registration, but was later canceled and Postponed to 2021 registration due to the short notice given to the candidates.

JAMB Registration 2022 Procedures (Step-by-Step)

Kindly follow the steps below to complete the JAMB Registration 2022:

  1. Create a Personal E-mail Address
  2. Get an Active Mobile Phone Number
  3. Create your JAMB Profile
  4. Buy JAMB e-PIN Online or from Any Bank Nationwide
  5. Get your National Identification Number (NIN)
  6. Get your O’level/A’level Result Printout
  7. Write down All your Biodata to Avoid Mistakes
  8. Budget 5,000 for all the Registration Processes
  9. Finally, Visit any JAMB accredited CBT centre with your biodata, E-pin, and Profile Code for online registration

When Is JAMB Exam Starting?

According to Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), the Unified Tertiary and Matriculation Examination (UTME) will commence on the 6th of May, 2022. The JAMB exam will start from 6th May, 2022 through 16th May, 2022.

About JAMB

The Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board (JAMB) is a Nigerian entrance examination board for tertiary-level institutions. The board conducts entrance Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination for prospective undergraduates into Nigerian universities. The board is also charged with the responsibility to administer similar examinations for applicants to Nigerian public and private monotechnics, polytechnics, and colleges of educations. All of these candidates must have obtained the West Africa School Certificate, now West African Examinations Council, WAEC, or its equivalent, National Examination Council (Nigeria), NECO. The pioneer Registrar was Mr. Michael Saidu Angulu who served from inception in 1978 to 1986. The current registrar of Jamb is Professor Ishaq Oloyede who was appointed by president Muhammadu Buhari in August, 2016.
