Imo: Owerri Leaders Endorse Hope Uzodimma For Second Tenure

They further said that the governor should be given his second tenure after which power returns to the zone.

Stakeholders in Owerri Zone of Imo State, comprising political leaders and traditional rulers have endorsed Governor Hope Uzodimma’s second tenure bid.

 

Newsonline reports that the Owerri leaders said Uzodimma has performed in human capital empowerment, infrastructural development and security of the state.

 

The Owerri stakeholders, including traditional rulers, political leaders, businessmen, and women leaders at the Palace of Chairman Owerri Zone Council of Traditional Rulers, HRM Eze Akujobi David Osuagwu in Awaka, Owerri North Local Government Area of the state, where they commended Governor Uzodimma for his performance in less than three years in office.

In a statement signed and released by Eze Akujobi, the stakeholders named the achievements of Hope Uzodimma to include so many empowerment programmes for women and youths, and infrastructural development across the zones that make up Imo State.

 

They particularly expressed happiness over the governor’s performance in the area of quality infrastructure with particular reference to the dualization of Owerri – Orlu road (36km), the Owerri – Okigwe road, Phase one (29km), the reconstruction of Owerri – Umuahia road through Mbaise as well as the rehabilitation of numerous roads within Owerri metropolis.

 

They further said that the governor should be given his second tenure after which power returns to the zone.
