Following Ikonne Death, the PDP has released the schedule of events for a fresh governorship primary in Abia state.

NewsOnline reports that the Abia State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has announced a new date for the gubernatorial primary of the party.

The primary is coming on the heels of the death of the governorship candidate of the party, Prof. Uche Ikonne.

In a statement issued on Friday by the national publicity secretary, the party, Debo Ologunagba,  said the primary will be held on Saturday, February 4.

Recall that Uchenna Ikonne, the governorship candidate, died on Wednesday morning at the National Hospital, Abuja, after a brief illness.
