2025 Annual Impact Investing Awards

IIF has opened nominations for 2025 Annual Impact Investing Awards.

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that the Impact Investors Foundation (IIF) has announced the commencement of nominations for its 2025 Annual Awards for Impact Investing, a platform dedicated to celebrating changemakers advancing social and environmental progress through innovative investments.

Now in its seventh year, the Awards recognise organisations and individuals whose work has created measurable social and environmental value while driving sustainable business growth. Winners will be honoured at the IIF Annual Dinner and Awards Ceremony, scheduled for November 6, 2025, during the 8th Annual Convening on Impact Investing in Lagos.

Speaking on the call for nominations, IIF’s Chief Executive Officer, Ms. Etemore Glover, said the initiative highlights leaders proving that “capital can and must deliver more than financial returns.” She added that by spotlighting these trailblazers, IIF hopes to inspire others to integrate impact into business and investment strategies, thereby strengthening Nigeria’s path toward a thriving impact economy.

Since its inception, the Awards have showcased innovators across diverse sectors including healthcare, education, agriculture, gender inclusion, and financial services. Past honourees include Alitheia Capital Management, FAMASI Africa, and the Centre for Legal Support and Inmates Rehabilitation (CELSIR), recognised in 2024 for their contributions to social change.

The 2025 edition continues this tradition, with nominations open to individuals and organisations across Nigeria and West Africa demonstrating measurable impact and a commitment to inclusive, sustainable growth. Entries can be submitted via the IIF Awards website before the September 30, 2025 deadline.

IIF has played a pivotal role in building Nigeria’s impact investing ecosystem, spearheading initiatives such as the Nigerian National Advisory Board for Impact Investing (NABII) and the $1 billion Nigerian Wholesale Impact Investment Fund (WIIF) for MSMEs. The foundation also leads programmes like Deal Source Africa, which has facilitated $1.7 million in deals, and the ESO Collaborative, which has empowered over 200 organisations to support investment-ready businesses.
