The Social Democratic Party (SDP) Presidential Candidate, Adewole Adebayo, has promised to put all resources in place to ensure that the talents of Nigerian youths are harnessed and developed if elected in 2023 election.
Newsonline reports that Adewole Adebayo also promised to achieve a massive housing development plan by building one million housing units in every state throughout his administration.
The SDP presidential candidate lamented that the youths that make up over 70 percent of the country’s population have been neglected by successive governments.
“The development of the Nigerian economy depends on the state of the youth which constitutes a significant proportion of the population,” he said.
Adebayo added that his “government will identify and support youths with exceptional talents to develop and commercialize their ideas, skills and innovation.

On his plan for community development and addressing housing deficit which is causing rural-urban migration and shelter crisis in the urban areas, Adebayo said his plan to ensure that development reaches all communities in the country will grow rural economy.
“My administration will deal with housing. To do this, we intend to build one million houses in every state, every year throughout the life of our administration. Jakande did it in Lagos, and Shagari tried to do it at the federal level so it’s possible and we will do it,” he said on housing.
The SDP presidential candidate further promised investment in primary health care system to eradicate childhood diseases and ensure mother and child quality health coverage.
“When elected”, he said, “my administration will deal with primary health care. We will invest money in primary health care to make sure that people don’t have simple communicable diseases and childhood diseases. We will ensure that our citizens have access to intervention at the community level.”
