The governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike said he pitied poor Nigerians who are being deceived by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, with his promise that he will restructure the country.

Newsonline reports that Wike asked Nigerians not to be deceived by a presidential candidate who is promising to implement the inclusion of every zone in the security council and restructure the country if elected president but cannot implement zoning and inclusion in the party for equity.

Governor Wike stated this on Thursday at the commissioning of the Ikoku flyover by Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate in Rivers State.

Governor Wike said, “What pains in this country is that some of us, all of us, I pity the poor Nigerians, I pity them, some people come to tell me, support this person and I asked, do you know him?

“What I hear is people go to town meetings and they show all kinds of things they say. They say they will implement restructuring, they will make sure that every zone will have a member in the security council, that it is not good for one zone to control all the security chiefs.

“You see, but it is good for one zone to occupy all party positions. You see how Nigerians are. See how we are. I will implement that every zone will be represented, I will implement..that is the debate on TV because everybody wants Nigerians to say oh yes, but no Nigerian wants to say let us start from the party.”
