A married Nigerian man has sparked online debate after expressing his dilemma about feeling bored around his wife while experiencing joy in the company of his girlfriend.
The embattled husband, who already has a child with his wife, shared his concerns via an anonymous message to X influencer @Wizarab10, questioning whether he should file for divorce.

“I’m married with a kid but I feel bored even if my wife is around me. I don’t feel bored when I’m around my girlfriend; I feel lively around her. I’m really tired of the boredom I feel even when my wife is around. I don’t know if I should divorce her or not, but I can’t keep living this way,” he lamented.
His predicament quickly gained traction, sparking mixed reactions from social media users.
One commenter, @JanisOmorogbe, blamed the wife for the man’s boredom, stating, “There’s something she’s not doing well. I guess she’s one of those entitled women out there. This generation of women don’t know that the success of every home (marriage) 90% depends on the woman.”
However, another user, @eddiebrendan, cautioned against impulsive decisions, warning that the excitement of a new relationship is often temporary.
“When you eventually convert your girlfriend to your new wife, the cycle will begin again. It’s spicy now because you’re doing touch and go. You should seek ways to spice up the one at home, especially if children are involved.”
