I Didn’t Solicit For the Title, I Rejected It, They Begged Me- Ado, Bandit Crowned Sarkin Fulani

Ado Aleiro, a notorious bandit, terrorizing Zamafara State has said he did not solicit for the Sarkin Fulani conferred on him by Zamfara Emirate Council, stating that he rejected the offer, but was begged to accept it.

Newsonline reports that Ado Aleiro had been declared wanted by the Katsina State Police Command, but was crowned as Sarkin Fulani, in Yantodo Emirate of Zamfara State, an occasion attended by Zamfara State commissioner for Internal security.

Speaking to Deutsche Welle (D.W) Radio, on Sunday, Ado Aliero said the Emir and the elders of the community decided to honour him with the title, so he could put a stop to future attacks by his men.

Ado Aliero said, “Honestly I didn’t solicit for the title, I was summoned by the Emirate, which initially, I rejected it.”

“After consultations with our leaders over the development, they suggested that I shouldn’t turn down the offer since the new emir insisted it had to happen in his emirate; that was how I accepted it.”

Zamfara State has been one of the most terrorized states of Nigeria, because of the activities of bandits.
