William Samoei Arap Ruto, a Kenyan politician was yesterday declared the president-elect of Kenya, but does it come as a surprise that the current deputy president of Kenya has a blood relationship with the South-East people of Nigeria, Ndigbo?
Newsonline reports that Ruto who was elected in 2013 as the deputy president of Kenya alongside President Uhuru Kenyatta under the Jubille Alliance party ticket has established an intergenerational relationship with Ndigbo.
Professor Kingsley Moghalu who disclosed the intergenerational blood relationship between Ruto and Ndigbo of SOuth-East Nigeria stated that the relationship came through marriage.
Moghalu revealed that an Igbo man, Dr. Alexander Ezenagu, a law professor in Qatar is married to the daughter of the Kenya president-elect.

Felicitating with Ruto, Moghalu wrote, “Congratulations to Williams Ruto on his election as the next President of Kenya. I understand he is our in-law as his daughter recently got married to Dr. Alexander Ezenagu, a young Nigerian law professor based in Qatar. Good international relations!”
Moghalu further disclosed that Ruto like whoever wins the 2023 general election in Nigeria will have so many inherited debts to pay.
“Ruto will face many challenges in his country, which has several similarities with Nigeria including sharp ethnic-political divides, very high foreign debt and poverty, but is strategically positioned for growth as the economic hub of East Africa. May he succeed,” he said.
