I Can Bet My Money On It, APC Won't Get 25% In Edo- Obaseki

Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki, has said any Nigerian who thinks or contemplates voting for the All Progressives Congress (APC) should be examined for madness.

Newsonline reports that Governor Obaseki said the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) which took over from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on the mantra of ‘change’ in 2015 and won again re-election in 2019 on the mantra of ‘next level’ has turned the country to economic and security breakdown.

Obaseki stated this on Monday at the inauguration of the Edo State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Campaign Management Council for the 2023 general elections, headed by Chief Osaro Idah as Director General.

The Edo State governor who was a former APC governor in his first tenure before he fell off with the former governor of the state, Adams Oshiomhole, to contest his second tenure under the PDP platform said “God forbid that the ruling party presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and his party APC should be allowed into the presidency again.

Governor Obaseki said, “Our heads should be examined as citizens if we contemplate voting for a government like APC.

“Like I said, God forbid APC comes into power. This country will break up. This country will fail.”

Obaseki added “nobody has done the kind of damage the APC government has done”, further stating that the APC under President Buhari through the Central Bank of Nigeria prints money every month.

He lamented further that the Buhari administration which promised Nigerians change has ut the country into a debt of N60 trillion, asking, “when are we going to get out of it.”

“The debt of Nigeria is going to N60trillion. When are we going to get out of it?

“Every day, every month they are printing. When I spoke more than a year ago, I did not know it was as bad as this.

“What will happen to the naira, only God will help us. They have destroyed the bases of this country.”

He further called on Nigerians not to miss the opportunity of electing the PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, to fix the country back from what the ruling APC put Nigerians into.

The Edo governor added that under Atiku’s presidency Nigerians will sleep with two eyes closed.

Meanwhile, the PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has promised Nigerians he will revive the nation if elected the president of the country in 2023 general election.

The Waziri of Adamawa stated this on Saturday in Benin, Edo State, at the PDP presidential campaign rally.
