NewsOnline Nigeria reports that Google has introduced Nano Banana Pro, its most advanced AI image generation and editing model to date, powered by the enhanced reasoning capabilities of Gemini 3 Pro. The new tool is designed to give creators, students, designers, and large enterprises unprecedented control in producing high-quality, accurate, and richly detailed visuals.
Building on the success of the first Nano Banana model, Nano Banana Pro pushes AI creativity to a new level by combining deep intelligence with precision design features.
“Nano Banana Pro is the most capable model for generating images with clean, correctly rendered, and readable text—whether you need a simple headline or full paragraphs,” said Naina Raisinghani, Product Manager at Google DeepMind.
The rollout is particularly timely for audiences in Nigeria, where interest in AI-powered creativity and learning is rapidly increasing. Over the past year, Google Search trends show a 200% surge in ‘AI for studying’ and strong growth in queries related to AI for graphic design, signalling rising demand for tools that blend academic support with professional-grade visuals. Nano Banana Pro is positioned to meet these needs by offering accuracy, clarity, and thoughtful design output.
Nano Banana Pro introduces several major upgrades:
Built on Gemini 3’s advanced reasoning and real-time access to Google Search, the model can create fact-based infographics, diagrams, charts, recipes, sports visualizations, and other context-aware images—not just aesthetically pleasing artwork.
A long-standing weakness of AI image generators—distorted or unreadable text—has been solved. Nano Banana Pro renders text crisply and accurately, in multiple languages, making it ideal for posters, branding materials, UI mockups, educational visuals, and marketing campaigns.
Users can now blend multiple visual elements with remarkable consistency. By supporting up to 14 reference images, the model ensures uniform character design, branding identity, color palettes, and scene continuity across large projects.
Nano Banana Pro offers highly controlled editing, including:
Camera angle adjustments
Depth-of-field and focal adjustments
Lighting changes (e.g., daylight to nighttime)
Localized edits on specific areas of an image
Outputs can be produced in 2K and 4K resolution, suitable for digital campaigns, professional graphics, and even print work.
Google is expanding its safety and transparency initiatives with new verification tools:
Image Verification via Gemini: Users can upload an image and ask the app whether it was generated by Google AI, thanks to the imperceptible SynthID digital watermark.
Updated Watermark Policy: Professional creators using the Google AI Ultra tier can now generate images without the visible Gemini watermark, though the invisible SynthID watermark remains to ensure responsible provenance tracking.
Nano Banana Pro is available globally starting today:
Consumers: Via the Gemini app under the “Thinking” model. Users on Google AI Plus, Pro, and Ultra plans get expanded usage limits.
Businesses: Integrated into Google Ads, Google Slides, and Vids for scaled creative production.
Developers: Accessible through the Gemini API and Vertex AI for enterprise-grade deployment.
