NewsOnline Nigeria reports that the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, has released the full list of House of Representatives aspirants marked “not cleared” ahead of the party’s National Assembly primaries for the 2027 general elections.
The affected aspirants cut across Ondo, Bauchi, Ebonyi, Kogi and Rivers states as the party concluded its screening process for House of Representatives hopefuls.
In a statement signed by APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the party said the exercise was conducted in line with its established procedures and guidelines.
According to the statement, “The screening exercise was conducted by the Party’s Screening Committees in line with established procedures and guidelines.”
The APC did not provide detailed explanations for the “not cleared” status of the affected aspirants.
Meanwhile, in Katsina State, Jamila Mani, Special Assistant on Girl Child Education and Development to Governor Dikko Radda, emerged winner of the APC primary for Mani/Bindawa Federal Constituency.
In Adamawa State, the party’s House of Representatives direct primaries reportedly suffered disruptions in some wards, including Girei, Yola North and Yola South, following the absence of officials expected to supervise the exercise.
Party members were said to have waited for hours without official communication regarding the commencement of the primaries.
The APC primaries are part of preparations by the ruling party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
