Reno Omokri says Obasanjo is a good hearted man over his decision to endorse Peter Obi.

Newsonline reports that former presidential aide, Reno Omokri has stated how he feels about former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s decision to endorse Peter Obi.

He said said Obasanjo’s support for Obi is to heal the wound of the 1966 civil war.

He also said the former President had also wanted former Rivers State Governor, Peter Odili to become Vice President in 2007 but the late Yar’Adua insisted on Goodluck Jonathan.

Recall that Obasanjo in a New Year open letter publicly declared support for Peter Obi of the Labour Party to win the 2023 presidential election.

Obasanjo who urged young Nigerians to take active part in the coming election, said though other candidates have the capacity to rule, Peter Obi is the needed needle and thread the country needs.

Reacting to this, Reno Omokri, an ardent supporter of former Vice President and Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, said:

“President Obasanjo is a good-hearted man. He has always wanted a President from the SE[South East] or close to the SE[South East]as a way to heal the Civil War wounds.

“In 2007, he wanted Peter Odili, but Yar’adua insisted on Governor Jonathan as VP. What Obj [Obasanjo]did won’t affect the election!”
