France Team Hit By Virus Ahead Of Sunday Final Match Against Argentina

France’s team may have a tough day in their Qatar 2022 WorldCup final match against Argentina, as several members of the team have been infected by a virus.

Newsonline reports that the virus suspected to be flu has affected center-backs Raphael Varane and Ibrahima Konate.

The virus attack news comes hours after the Deschamas team and fans are hoping to be one of the teams to go down in history among teams that have lifted the FIFA World Cup back-to-back, after winning Corotia team at the final match of Russia 2018 World Cup.

Center-backs Raphael Varane and Ibrahima Konate, missed training on Friday, as suspicion mounts that some other players in France’s first eleven may miss out on the much anticipated final match in Qatar 2022 World Cup on Sunday.

In addition to Varane and Konate, Dayot Upamecano, Adrien Rabiot, and Kingsley Coman were also sick at the start of the week and did not participate in training on Friday.

France coach Didier Deschamps has said that the team is taking measures to prevent the virus from spreading.

Coach Didier Deschamps said that they are taking precautions to prevent the illness from spreading and that Upamecano is expected to be fit to play in the team’s next match against Argentina on Sunday.

Rabiot, on the other hand, is still recovering and may not be available for the match. This news comes as a blow to the team, which has already lost several key players to injury, including Paul Pogba, N’Golo Kante, Karim Benzema, Presnel Kimpembe, Lucas Hernandez, and Christopher Nkunku.

Recall that France qualified for the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup after beating the only African hope team Morocco in the semi-final match to meet Argentina in the final.

The Argentina Messi-led team is hoping to crown the legendary of seven times Ballon D’or winner with a FIFA World Cup victory to cement his edge over Christiano Ronaldo.
