FirstBank has refuted fraud allegations in a trendy video and called claims baseless.

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that FirstBank has strongly denied recent allegations of fraud circulating in a report by ThisDay Newspaper, Arise Television, and an accompanying video related to a court case filed by a customer, Dr. Agbai Eke.

In a corporate statement made available to NewsOnline Nigeria, the bank dismissed the claims as entirely unfounded and false. According to its internal findings, the issue stems from unprofessional and unethical dealings between Dr. Agbai Eke and a former FirstBank employee. These transactions, facilitated through a personal relationship, were conducted without the bank’s knowledge or involvement.
