The Federal government has declared Monday and Tuesday, 11 and 12, July, public holidays for the celebration of Eid-el- Kabir.
Newsonline reports that the Federal government also advised Muslims to be security cautious and report any criminal activity in the location with N-Alerts to ensure prompt response of security personnel.
The Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, in a statement on Thursday, said the Federal government congratulates all Muslims and Nigerians both at home and in the Diaspora.

Rauf Aregbesola in the statement said, “I call on Muslims to continue to imbibe the spirit of love, peace, kindness and sacrifice, as exemplified by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon Him) and to also use the period to pray for peace, unity, prosperity and the stability of the country, considering the challenges of insecurity we face at the moment”
Reaffirming the commitment of the Buhari administration to tackling insecurity, Aregbesola said the Federal government is “committed to the security of lives and properties of all Nigerians, empowering the citizens for successful living, the provisions of social investments programmes and adequate security in the schools” he added.
Aregbesola called on Nigerians and Muslims especially in this celebration mood to make use of the N-Alerts service to report activities of criminal agents in the communities to ensure prompt security intervention.
Rauf Aregbesola advised, ”As soon as you see something do N- Alerts. ”
