Echeta close to joining River United, sources say.

Newsonline Nigeria report that Rivers United are currently in pole position to sign Deputy Echeta, the talented winger from Bendel Insurance.

Echeta is searching for fresh challenges after his contract with the Federation Cup winners expired.

Last season, the 22-year-old was a vital player for the Benin Arsenals in both the Nigeria Professional Football League and the Federation Cup.

According to reports, Rivers United are very interested in signing the player.

The Port Harcourt club is reportedly set to sign Echeta in a deal that is said to be very attractive.

In addition, he will have the opportunity to participate in the CAF Confederation Cup next season.

Therefore, River United is the frontrunner to sign Echeta, a former winger for Insurance.
