NewsOnline Nigeria reports that Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara, on Sunday declined to address journalists after appearing before the All Progressives Congress governorship screening committee in Abuja.
Fubara was screened at the Plateau State Governors’ Lodge as part of the process for sitting governors seeking re-election ahead of the 2027 general elections.
After the exercise, the Rivers governor was seen leaving the venue while journalists attempted to ask him questions about the outcome of the screening.
However, the governor refused to entertain questions from the media, responding briefly with: “No comment.”
Earlier, Fubara had arrived at the Plateau State Government House Lodge in Asokoro for the screening exercise conducted by the APC committee.
The screening committee was chaired by the National Chairman of the APC, Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda.
