Defence Minister Christopher Musa has signalled move to APC and pledged full support for Tinubu.

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that the Minister of Defence, retired General Christopher Musa, has indicated that he is likely to formally join the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), revealing that he is currently in a period of political transition.

Musa made this known during an interview on Sunday Politics, a programme aired on Channels Television, where he spoke on his future political plans and loyalty to the governing party.

According to the former Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), the APC provided him with the platform to serve first as CDS and later as Minister of Defence, a gesture for which he said he remains deeply grateful. He added that this has strengthened his resolve to support the party going forward.

“I’ve not transitioned yet. I’m in transition. I think I’ll become a politician, a member of the APC, definitely,” Musa said.

He further stressed that President Bola Tinubu requires the collective backing of Nigerians and party members alike to effectively deliver on his mandate, pledging his readiness to offer support in every possible way.

“Mr President needs all support, totally,” he added.

Musa’s comments have fueled speculation about his formal entry into partisan politics, following his retirement from active military service and appointment into President Tinubu’s cabinet.
