Tragedy struck in Deefresh’s childhood when he lost his father just as he was finishing primary school despite earning a scholarship. Facing financial hardship, he fought for his education and dreams against the odds.

Growing up in a modest background, Deefresh found solace in music. Inspired by Olamide’s raw lyricism and Wiz Khalifa’s unapologetic vibe, especially the hustler-flex narrative of a street artist making it big; he discovered both hope and an artistic voice.
