Chelsea has launched its first bid for Sanchez’s transfer.
Newsonline Nigeria report that Chelsea made an initial offer to acquire Robert Sanchez, Brighton’s goalkeeper.
Chelsea is seeking to sign a fresh goalkeeper following Edouard Mendy’s departure to compete with Kepa Arrizabalaga as the number one goalkeeper. Sanchez is believed to have agreed to join Chelsea.
Brighton is no longer interested in Sanchez since he lost his spot to Jason Steele in March.
Sanchez, who has two caps for Spain’s national team, has been associated with Chelsea.
As per The Athletic, Chelsea has submitted its initial bid for the 25-year-old.
The Athletic stated that while Brighton has not yet responded officially, negotiations for a transfer are in progress.
Brighton has excluded Sanchez from their pre-season squad, and they have signed Bart Verbruggen as his replacement this summer.
