President Buhari has abandoned the Nigerian Hospital again as he sets to stay an extra week in the UK for teeth treatment.

NewsOnline reports that President Muhammadu Buhari abandoned Nigerian Hospital for the United Kingdom Health system over teeth treatment.

In a terse statement on Tuesday, Femi Adesina, the Senior Special Assistant to the President, disclosed this.

According to him, the medical treatment for Buhari comes “at the behest of his Dentist, who has started attending to him.

“The Specialist must see the President in another five days for a procedure already commenced”, the statement said.

Meanwhile, on June 6, 2016, Buhari came under fire for visiting the UK on a ten days ear treatment medical trip.

Also, on October 31 2022, the President jetted to London for a “routine medical check-up”.

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that President Buhari’s several medical holidays have raised controversy despite the country’s budgetary allocation for the State House.

Last year, N10.6 billion was released to construct the Presidential Wing of the State House Clinic in Aso Villa, according to the Permanent Secretary of State House, Tijanni Umar.

Seven days ago, Buhari left Nigeria for the coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla, which took place on Saturday, May 6, 2023.

Buhari is due to exit the seat of power on May 29, 2023.
