President Tinubu has announced 72 new massive appointments.

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that President Bola Tinubu has appointed new leaders for the twelve River Basin Development Authorities across Nigeria.

 

These agencies oversee water resources, irrigation, and agricultural development in different regions.

 

The appointments cover various states and include a chairman, a managing director, and four executive directors in each authority, handling finance, planning, engineering, and agriculture.

In Ogun-Osun River Basin Development Authority, Abeokuta, Odebunmi Olusegun (Oyo) will serve as Chairman, with Adedeji Ashiru (Osun) as Managing Director. Other appointees include Ayo Oyalowo (Oyo) as Executive Director, Finance; Dokunmu Olufemi Oyekunle (Ogun) as Executive Director, Planning and Design; Suleiman Oris (Lagos) as Executive Director, Agric Services; and Julius Oloro (Lagos) as Executive Director, Engineering.

 

For Upper Benue River Basin Development Authority, Yola, Sanusi Mohammed Babantanko (Bauchi) is Chairman, and Samuel Mahmud Mohammed (Taraba) takes over as Managing Director. Usman Babandubu Bakare (Taraba) will oversee Engineering, Ibrahim Dasuki Jalo (Gombe) will handle Finance, Isa Matori (Bauchi) will be in charge of Planning and Design, while Hamman Dikko (Adamawa) will lead Agric Services.

 

Chad Basin Development Authority, Maiduguri, will be led by Abdu Dauda (Borno) as Chairman and Tijjani Musa Tumsa (Yobe) as Managing Director. Other executives include Bashir Baale (Yobe) for Finance, Iliyasu Muazu (Adamawa) for Agric Services, Mohammed Shetima (Borno) for Engineering, and Vrati Nzonzo (Borno) for Planning and Design.

 

In Benin-Owena River Basin Development Authority, Mike Ohio Ezomo (Edo) has been appointed Chairman, while Femi Adekanbi (Ondo) will serve as Managing Director. The team includes Austin Nonyelim Izagbo (Delta) for Planning and Design, Johnson Oghuma (Edo) for Agric Services, Adegboyega Bamisile (Ekiti) for Finance, and Bayode Akinduro (Ondo) for Engineering.

 

The Niger Delta Basin Development Authority will be headed by Ebikemi Boi Bosin (Delta) as Chairman, with Amgbare Ebitimi (Bayelsa) as Managing Director. Others include Mary Alagoa (Rivers) for Finance, Austin N. Izagbo (Delta) for Engineering, Felix Kurogha (Bayelsa) for Agric Services, and Nnamdi Akani (Rivers) for Planning and Design.

 

Upper Niger River Basin Development Authority, Minna, has Haruna Y. Usman (Niger) as Chairman and Dangajere Shuaibu Bawa Jaja (Kaduna) as Managing Director. Mohammed Usma (Niger) will handle Finance, Abdullahi A. Kutso (Niger) will manage Planning and Design, Ayuba Waziri Tedde (FCT) will oversee Agric Services, while John Hassan (Kaduna) will take charge of Engineering.

 

For Lower Niger River Basin Development Authority, Ilorin, Abdullateef Alakawa (Kwara) is Chairman and George Olumoroti (Kogi) is Managing Director. Other appointees include Babajamu Adeniran (Kwara) for Engineering, Abdullahi Sadiq (Kogi) for Agric Services, Alanamu Ayinla Abolere (Kwara) for Planning and Design, and Abidemi Adeyemi (Kogi) for Finance.

 

Lower Benue River Basin Development Authority, Makurdi, will be led by Amos Gizo Yadukso (Plateau) as Chairman and Ninga Terese (Benue) as Managing Director. The executive team includes Chris Takar (Benue) for Engineering, Yusuf Omaaki (Nasarawa) for Finance, Hassan Omale (Kogi) for Agric Services, and Okibe Timothy Ogomola (Benue) for Planning and Design.

 

Anambra-Imo River Basin Development Authority, Owerri, has Emmanuel Anosike (Anambra) as Chairman and Emeka Nduka (Imo) as Managing Director. Others are Nwebonyi Priscilla Nkechi (Ebonyi) for Finance, Evaristus Asadu (Enugu) for Engineering, Onukwubiri N. Ojigwe (Abia) for Agric Services, and Abigail Igwe (Anambra) for Planning and Design.

 

Hadejia Jama’are River Basin Development Authority, Kano, will be headed by Mamman Da’u Aliyu (Jigawa) as Chairman and Rabiu Suleiman Bichi (Kano) as Managing Director. Additional executives are Tijjani Musa Isa (Jigawa) for Planning and Design, Zainab Gamawa (Bauchi) for Agric Services, Baffa Dandatti Abdulkadir (Kano) for Engineering, and Musa Iliyasu Kwankwaso (Kano) for Finance.

 

Cross River Basin Development Authority will have Wabilly Nyiam (Cross River) as Chairman and Glory Ekpo Oho (Akwa Ibom) as Managing Director. Other officials include Effiwatt Otu Eyo (Cross River) for Finance, Ebiere Etuk Udoh (Akwa Ibom) for Agric Services, Charles Usua Akpan (Akwa Ibom) for Engineering, and Ndom Abia (Akwa Ibom) for Planning and Design.

 

Sokoto Rima Basin Development Authority, covering Sokoto, Kebbi, Zamfara, and Katsina, will be overseen by Bello Yahaya Wurno (Sokoto) as Chairman and Abubakar Mallam (Kebbi) as Managing Director. Other executives include Kabiru Ladan Maigoro (Zamfara) for Planning and Design, Abubakar Ibrahim (Katsina) for Finance, Muttaka Badaru Jikamshi (Katsina) for Agric Services, and Mansur Aminu (Zamfara) for Engineering.
