The death of Big Larry adds to the series of losses Nollywood has experienced since the beginning of 2024.

The industry has already mourned the passing of several notable figures, including Mr Ibu, Amaechi Muonagor, Sisi Quadri, Ganiyu ‘Ogunjimi‘ Oyeyemi, and Junior Pope.

In response to the troubling trend of untimely deaths, the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) had organized a 4-day fasting and prayer session in May 2024, led by Jerry Eze, founder of Streams of Joy International.
