Lagos Lawmakers and GAC have taken the final decision on the Assembly’s Speakership Tussle.

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that Rt. Hon. Princess Mojisola Lasbat Meranda has received resounding backing from members of the Lagos House of Assembly and leaders of the Governing Advisory Council (GAC) who insisted that her election as the first female speaker of the state assembly stands.

This Nigeria news platform understands that Rt. Hon. Meranda, alongside other members of the Lagos State House of Assembly, met with the Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC) yesterday at the Lagos House, Marina.

The meeting aimed to align perspectives and dispel any doubt or circulating rumors regarding the Assembly’s leadership.

Consequently, the leaders and other members of the assembly stated their resolve to stand with Princess Meranda, thereby solidifying her position as Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly.

She was advised to go about her business and ensure that she upholds her promise of inclusive, just and collaborative legislation, for the good of the people and the state of Lagos.
