IBEDC has reconnected UCH electricity after the Federal Government’s intervention.

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) has agreed to restore power supply to the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan within 48 hours.

The agreement is the fallout of the tripartite meeting held on Monday among the Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, the management of UCH and IBEDC.

However, it was resolved that the business outlets of the hospital including banks and the residential buildings would be disconnected for now.

Recall that some medical students of the University of Ibadan on Monday protested the perennial power outage at UCH during a visit of the minister where they urged the Federal Government to wade in and find lasting solution to the perennial power outage at the institution.

Adelabu visited the hospital to hold dialogue with the hospital’s management and IBEDC on resolving the power crisis confronting the UCH.
