Governor Yusuf has presented an appointment letter to Emir Sanusi.

 

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that Governor Abba Yusuf has officially presented a letter of appointment to Muhammadu Sanusi II as the 16th Emir of Kano.

The mini-durbar ceremony took place at the Africa House of the Kano State Government House on Friday, May 24.

 

The presentation of the letter of appointment is coming after a Federal High Court sitting in Kano issued an injunction stopping the action.

Speaking while presenting the letter, Yusuf said, “Sunusi is a victim of the immediate past administration, who is now being restored to his rightful position to lead the people”.

 

The 14th Emir of Kano Muhammadu Sanusi II is back on the throne after four years hiatus following the signing of the Kano State Emirates Councils (Repeal) Bill 2024 by Governor Yusuf.
