NewsOnline reports that in line with the government’s determination to ensure free, fair, and credible elections and to ensure that citizens get their permanent voter’s cards (PVC) a public holiday has been declared.

This online newspaper understands that Ondo State governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, has declared Tuesday, 24th January 2023, a work-free day for civil and public servants.

Akeredolu said the forthcoming election is an important election that no citizen should be disenfranchised as a result of work. He lamented that southwest states are lagging behind in PVCs collection.
