Government has announced an official public holiday.

NewsOnline reports that the Jordanian government, under Prime Minister Bisher Al-Khasawneh, on Monday issued a decree to suspend all ministries, official departments, public institutions and bodies, state universities, municipalities, joint service councils, and fully government-owned companies on Sunday, June 9th, 2024.

The decree coincided with the celebration of His Majesty’s accession to the throne and the Silver Jubilee of His Majesty King Abdullah II’s assumption of constitutional powers. The holiday was observed to honor these occasions.
