A fresh update has emerged from Former Governor Yahaya Bello’s N83bn fraud trial by the EFCC.

 

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that Former Kogi Governor Yahaya Bello on Thursday told the Federal High Court in Abuja to transfer his case with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to Kogi.

 

This Nigeria news platform understands that the EFCC arraigned the former Governor on alleged N82 billion fraud before Justice Nwite presided court.

However, speaking through his lawyer, Adeola Adedipe, Bello told the court on Thursday that since he was alleged to have committed the offence when he was the Governor of Kogi, it was proper for the case to hold in the State.
