Breaking: Fire Outbreak In Conoil Filling Station In Abuja

Conoil filling station located in UTC Market, Area 10, Abuja has gone in flames Saturday afternoon.

Newsonline reports that the incident started around 3:53 pm on Saturday.

An eyewitness, Ette Samson, a graphic designer at the UTC Area 10 market, advised residents to stay away from that axis.

Samson narrated, “The fire started from the storage of the filling station, the whole facility has been burnt down. In fact we are stranded at the moment as the area has been sealed off.”

Officials of the Federal Fire Service were seen trying to put out the fire.

The station shares the same fence with Abuja Municipal Area Council, AMAC, and is a stone’s throw away from Cyprian Ekwensi Center for Arts and Culture.

Following the incident, there is heavy traffic in Area 10 and its environs.

The filling station is still in flames at the time of filling this report.
