EFCC has commenced the electronic auctioning of 891 forfeited cars.

 

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has begun the electronic auctioning of 891 forfeited vehicles.

 

In a notice shared on its official social media platforms on Monday, the anti-graft agency stated that the auction process aligned with relevant laws – EFCC (Establishment) Act, 2004, the Public Procurement Act, 2007, and the Proceeds of Crime (Recovery & Management) Act, 2022.

The EFCC disclosed that the online auction will take place from January 20 to January 27, 2025.

To facilitate the sale, the agency listed accredited auctioneers and provided designated platforms where interested buyers can participate.

 

The approved auction websites include, https://www.rihogo.com, https://biznjeg.ng and https://www.areogunresourcesniglid.com.ng

Interested bidders are encouraged to visit the listed platforms to view available vehicles and complete the necessary registration process. The EFCC assured transparency in the bidding process, stating that all sales will be conducted in line with legal provisions governing asset forfeiture and disposal.

 

This latest auction followed the agency’s continued efforts to recover and manage assets linked to financial crimes in Nigeria.
