
Newsonline reports that President Muhammadu Buhari is hosting a delegation of chieftains of the All Progressives Congress (APC) led by the party’s National Chairman Senator Adamu Abdullahi at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The delegation includes the party’s vice presidential candidate, Senator Kashim Shettima; Senate President Ahmad Lawan; Deputy Senate President Ovie Omo-Agege; Deputy Speaker, Idris Wase and most of the Governors on the party’s platform.
The presidential candidate of the party, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, however not at the meeting.
Shettima, on Wednesday, informed journalists he would be paying a formal audience to the President with the party’s critical stakeholders.
The visit comes about two days after Shettima was publicly presented as Tinubu’s running mate.
Governor Atiku Bagudu (Kebbi), who is Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum (PGF), led other his colleagues, including Babagana Zulum(Borno); Inuwa Yahaya (Gombe); Mai Mala Buni (Yobe) and Abdullahi Sule (Nasarawa) among others.
