BREAKING: Atiku, Obi, El-Rufai Coalition Tipped To Defeat Tinubu In 2027

Atiku, Obi and El-Rufai Coalition has been tipped to defeat Tinubu in 2027.

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has expressed strong optimism that a formidable coalition involving former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Labour Party’s Peter Obi, former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, and other political heavyweights could decisively unseat President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general elections.

Speaking in Abuja on Monday, the PDP’s Deputy National Youth Leader, Timothy Osadolor, said such a merger, if built on sincerity and unity, could result in an electoral landslide so overwhelming that the outcome would be determined by midday on election day.

“If these talks are pursued sincerely and reach a logical conclusion, and if ego doesn’t get in the way among these gentlemen—Atiku, Obi, and El-Rufai—then Nigeria could indeed be looking at a winning team,” Osadolor told Vanguard.

He recalled that Atiku and Obi together polled over 13 million votes in the 2023 presidential election, compared to the 8 million votes secured by Tinubu. According to him, this shows that a united front already commands a superior voter base.

“Let’s not forget: less than four years ago, these two gentlemen received over 13 million votes, compared to the 8 million votes INEC allocated to Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Given the growing hunger, insecurity, frustration, and depression across the country, I don’t see why they couldn’t conclude the election by 1pm on election day,” he said.

Osadolor further argued that Nigerians are increasingly disenchanted with the APC-led government, which he accused of mismanagement, corruption, and political patronage.

He criticised the federal government’s practice of releasing large sums of money to state governors, saying the funds are often diverted for political gain rather than being used to improve the lives of ordinary Nigerians.

“My response to that is simple: kudos to the federal government. Let them keep releasing more funds. The more they release, the more they expose the heartlessness with which they treat public trust and resources,” he stated.

“No serious country hands out money for political patronage the way this government is doing. The political class is barely 10% of the population. How do you justify to the remaining 90% that this small group is misappropriating public funds meant for every Nigerian, born or unborn?”

He also urged opposition figures to prioritise the national interest over personal ambition and work together to give Nigerians a credible alternative.

“The more they do this, the more they infuriate right-thinking Nigerians and motivate them to vote the APC out quickly,” he added.

Osadolor advised President Tinubu to begin considering retirement plans instead of preparing for re-election, warning that Nigerians are determined to remove him through the ballot box in 2027.

“In fact, what the President should be doing now is compiling a list of his life’s achievements and finding a quiet vacation spot to retire to, saving himself the humiliation that awaits him at the ballot box,” he said.

He concluded that with the right strategy, grassroots mobilisation, and a united front, the 2027 elections could mark the end of the APC’s rule and the beginning of a new era for Nigeria.
