Billionaire Kidnapper, Evans has opted for a plea bargain.
NewsOnline Nigeria reports that convicted billionaire kidnapper Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike, popularly known as Evans, along with his co-defendant Joseph Emeka, facing charges of murder and attempted kidnapping, have chosen to pursue a plea bargain option.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the state’s lead counsel, Mr. Yusuf Sule, informed the court of this development on Thursday when the case was scheduled for re-arraignment.

The proceedings took place before Justice Adenike Cokers at an Ikeja High Court. Evans and his co-defendant were set for re-arraignment on an amended five-count charge encompassing murder, attempted murder, conspiracy to commit kidnapping, and attempted murder.
Sule informed the court of the intention for re-arraignment but noted that the defendants had applied for a plea deal. He further stated that the plea bargain terms were under review by the Attorney-General of Lagos State, Mr. Lawal Pedro.
